Texas Barbecue Sauce


2Tbsp.brown sugar
1Tbsp.paprika
1tsp.salt
1tsp.dry mustard
1/4tsp.chili powder
1/8tsp.cayenne pepper
2Tbsp.Worcestershire sauce
1/4c.vinegar
1c.tomato juice
1/4c.ketchup
1/2c.water

1.Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer 15 minutes or until slightly thickened.
2.You can also thicken the sauce with a corn starch slurry: add a mixture of cornstarch and water and bring the sauce to barely a boil to get rid of the starch taste.
