Garlic Naan Bread (from LiEmma)


2tsp.active yeast
1tsp.sugar
2Tbsp.warm water
3c.flour
1/3c.greek yogurt
2tsp.garlic — minced
2/3c.warm water
1/4c.olive oil
1 1/2tsp.salt
1/4c.butter — melted
1/4-1/2tsp.salt

1.Combine yeast, sugar, 2 tbsp water, let sit 10 minutes to froth up.
2.In stand mixer combine flour, yogurt, water, oil, salt (1.5 tsp) & yeast mixture.
3.Mix until it is cohesive & not sticky to touch.
4.Let sit 1 hr. in warm oven to double in size.
5.Combine butter, garlic, & salt and set aside.
6.Section dough in 6-8 pieces & flatten.
7.Drop into hot oiled pan to cook a couple minutes on each side.
8.Brush w/ butter mixture & serve.

Garlic powder can be used in place of minced garlic.
