Random Trivia For This Title:

  • The Raiders Minimization: When Leonard opens the door of his lab after having sex at work with Penny, he greets the person knocking saying "Hi, Si" (SImon, the actor's name) rather than "Hi, Howard" (the character'a name). Leonard answers saying 'Hi, Sorry'
  • The equations written on the boards in various episodes that Leonard (Johnny Galecki)and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) are working on, are real physics equations and are verified as accurate by consulting physicists.
  • The Scavenger Vortex: While riding with Howard, Amy looks through his MP3 player and makes fun of him for listening to 'Weird Al' Yankovic. In reality, Mayim Bialik is actually a huge Weird Al fan.
  • Wil Wheaton's house number (1701) is the same as the hull number of the U.S.S. Enterprise on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987).
  • Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie) has exactly the same speech impediment as cartoon character Elmer Fudd, also a Warner Brothers character.
  • The Proton Displacement: Bob Newhart won his first and as of 2017 only Primetime Emmy for this episode. He was first nominated (for writing) in 1962.
  • The Proton Displacement: Bill Nye winds up taking a restraining order out against Sheldon. Bill studied under Carl Sagan, who Sheldon said had also taken out a restraining order against him in {The Vacation Solution}.
  • The Convention Conundrum: James Earl Jones came up with the idea of the scene where he rings Carrie Fisher's doorbell and runs away.
  • The Convention Conundrum: Carrie Fisher and James Earl Jones, who played Princess Leia and Darth Vader in {Star Wars} respectively, had never met in real life before this episode, even though they play major characters in the original Star Wars movies. James Earl Jones would always be in a sound booth providing the voice of Darth Vader, and Carrie Fisher would be on set with David Prowse, who provided the physical acting of Darth Vader. This is paralleled in their scene together in this episode where we see Carrie Fisher on-screen , but only hear the voice of James Earl Jones, who is off-screen.
