  • Director David Winters, unhappy with the film, attempted to have his name replaced with that of the fictional [?] Alan Smithee, but due to his contract he was unable to do so.
  • Stars Reb Brown and Cisse Cameron, who played romantic interests on screen, were married shortly after the completion of this film.
  • In interior shots of the spaceship "Southern Sun", large, hinged, factory-type windows can be clearly seen and much of the Southern Sun is made of brick and mortar.
