  • All space-battle footage is from Battlestar Galactica.
  • When Steve Godell attempts to talk via a video system to the bridge, there is no monitor on the wall he is facing.
  • Stars Reb Brown and Cisse Cameron, who played romantic interests on screen, were married shortly after the completion of this film.
  • In interior shots of the spaceship "Southern Sun", large, hinged, factory-type windows can be clearly seen and much of the Southern Sun is made of brick and mortar.
  • Director David Winters, unhappy with the film, attempted to have his name replaced with that of the fictional Alan Smithee, but due to his contract he was unable to do so.
