Trivia that mentions this person:
Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie [2002]
  • Phil Vischer was reluctant at first in "casting" Archibald Asparagus as Jonah since he wasn't a huge [VeggieTales] star at the time. Other choices were Bob, Larry, Junior Asparagus, and Jimmy Gourd.
  • The kid sitting in the back of the van (next to the pea) originally appeared in The Toy That Saved Christmas and is a caricature of creator Phil Vischer's daughter.
VeggieTales: The Star of Christmas [2002]
  • Phil Vischer originally wanted to use Rebecca St. James' recording of O Come, O Come Emmanuel for the end titles for this video, but was unable to acquire the rights (a new recording was used instead, but with a similar musical arrangement). However, because of the contact he had with St. James during the negotiations, he was able to arrange for her to do the character voicework as Hope in the sequel, An Easter Carol.
