`~John Doe~`
Edit cast list for:
The Cloverfield Paradox (2018)?
Trivia:
SPOILER:`~6040~`'s character in this and `~221~`'s in !~clover_2~!~10 Cloverfield Lane (2016)~! share the last name "Stambler". Both have crackpot theories that turn out to be partly true.:SPOILER SPOILER:The Cloverfield monster seen at the very end of the film is not the same monster from the original !~clover_1~!~Cloverfield (2008)~!, as the original monster is estimated to be 180 feet tall with a leaner, more spider-like body. This new one stands taller than the clouds over the ocean, and one can assume that a large portion of its body is underwater. Fans have speculated that this new monster is probably a similar subspecies, or even the same type of creature from the original film at a different stage in its evolutionary timeline. It is notable that the creature from the original film was intended to be a baby, meaning that this creature could be a fully grown member of the species.:SPOILER `~8910~` was in talks to join the cast, but dropped out to lead @##Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan (2018)##@. SPOILER:Originally titled God Particle, new scenes (specifically with `~19625~`' character) were later filmed to tie the movie into the @##Cloverfield universe##@.:SPOILER Although this movie takes place in 2028, and the prior films in the @##Cloverfield franchise##@ took place much earlier, producer `~1507~` said in an interview that he has a plan on how all the Cloverfield movies (and future ones) will be tied together. The newscaster interviewing Mark Stambler (`~6040~`) is played by `~19621~`, who also appeared in !~clover_2~!~10 Cloverfield Lane (2016)~! as the woman who begs to be let into Howard (`~221~`)'s bunker. The gas station at the start of the movie and several items of equipment on the ship are branded Kelvin, which is a `~1507~` tradition. Abrams produced all three of the films that are a part of the @##Cloverfield universe##@, including this one. Kelvin is also the name of a starship in `~1507~` version of !~trek_2009~!~"Star Trek"~! in 2009.
