Trivia:
At the very beginning of the parade scene, a marching band is seen holding a banner that says "Arcadia High School Marching Band". `~943~` attended Arcadia High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. `~1466~`'s first acting role. When Professor Neweyes (`~1466~`) closes the museum door near the end of the movie, he says "And that's the way it is!", a reference to Cronkite's famous closing line on the CBS evening news. `~4620~`, who provides the voice of Vorb, did his work three years before the movie hit theaters. A scene in which Prof. Screweyes cages and chains the dinosaurs was fully animated, but ultimately cut from the movie on the grounds that it was too intense. Shots of it can still be seen in the original trailer. To promote the movie's release, a giant helium balloon of Rex the T-Rex was included in the real-life 1993 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. Unfortunately, as the parade moved through Columbus Circle, high winds caught the Rex balloon and caused it to list over the nearby sidewalk. The head of the Rex balloon struck a protruding street light and popped, but the rest of the dinosaur's body remained inflated until the end of the parade. In the stampede after the crowd discovers the dinosaurs are real, at the point where Louie says, "Meet you in central park, now run," a caricature of `~943~` with an Amblin Logo Baseball Cap and !~jp_1~!~Jurassic Park~! Logo T-Shirt appears briefly on the left hand side as part of the crowd running towards the camera. As the dinosaurs dance around Times Square, it is possible to see a theatre marquee advertising !~jp_1~!~Jurassic Park~!, which was directed by executive producer `~943~`. `~6641~` was initially cast as Professor Screweyes. However, he was recast after test screenings.
