Trivia:
The film was originally planned to be shot at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida. The base denied permission to film there after a high-ranking official read the script and disagreed with the portrayal of the soldiers. Production moved to a private helicopter airport that played at least seven locations. The last-minute relocation and weather led to at least nine script rewrites. When looking at a whale underwater, the riff is, "That thing is huge, man!" This is a rifference to `~6039~`'s skit portraying "Tiny Elvis" while hosting @##Saturday Night Live (1975)##@. The Bots refer to a pair of street thugs as production assistants. In reality, they are played by the Gaffer and the Key Grip.
