Trivia:
1: Change -> This series started out as a continuation of @##MisteRogers (1961)##@, and so some confusion may arise in viewers unfamiliar with that show and the buildings in Make Believe being rearranged. Their original order, before being swapped around by Lady Elaine, were as follows: the castle, the factory, the Eiffel Tower, the Museum-Go-Round, the Frogg pond, the clock and the tree. 1: Change -> `~2679~` never appeared in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe as himself, although in the first few seasons of the show he used to interact with the characters. In episode 1 he called Edgar Cooke (Whom `~2679~` also voiced) on the telephone can (We didn't hear Edgar's voice on the other line though) and he'd look through a telescope to the Neighborhood of Make Believe. At the end of the NoMB segment in episode 1, `~19018~` says, "I wonder what Mr. Rogers would say about this," and sends a note to him on the trolley. `~19016~` played her Neighborhood of Make-Believe character, Lady Aberlin, in the real neighborhood in 1013 from 1969 when she gives Mr. Rogers an invitation to the wedding of King Friday and Queen Sara. `~19018~` plays his Neighborhood of Make- Believe character, Handyman Negri, in the real neighborhood during the week of episodes 1001-1005 in 1969. Both performers had always played themselves in the real neighborhood from then on. 1765: Celebrates the Arts -> Final episode of the series as `~2679~` died two years later from stomach cancer. 1765: Celebrates the Arts -> This is the only time in the series that Mr. Rogers and Mr. McFeely shake hands. It was suggested by `~19019~` in the documentary Speedy Delivery that the handshake shared between Mister Rogers and Mr. McFeely was a subtle sign of their mutual appreciation for one another and somewhat of a symbol of the program's end: "That little handshake is there...That handshake's for me. It was saying a lot to Fred in that handshake. Thanks you and it's just been wonderful knowing that man for 35 years." 1765: Celebrates the Arts -> The only other actor to have appeared in both the first episode and the final episode, besides `~2679~` of course, is `~19019~`. Also, the only Make Believe character to appear in both the first and final episodes is King Friday XIII. Lady Elaine was mentioned in the first episode, but wasn't seen. 1600: Secrets -> Although this episode originally aired during the month of November, `~2679~` was actually born in March. 1620: Environment -> A short time after Mr. McFeely arrives with William the goat, William "makes a small mess" as Mr. McFeely talks with Mister Rogers. 1765: Celebrates the Arts -> Although this is the final episode of the series, Mister Rogers never alludes to this fact. In fact, at the end he says he'll be back next time. `~2679~` insisted on never mentioning the end of the show as the target audience would likely be grown and done watching by the time they realized they were only seeing reruns. 1595: Kindness and Unkindness -> Mister Rogers tells the caller that they must be looking for the person at phone number 143-6870. Of course, there is no city in the U.S. with a "143" prefix - "143" is `~2679~`' code for "I Love You." Each number signifies the number of letters in each word. 1490: Play -> Last episode to use the porch opening sequence. Future episodes will return to the famous flashing yellow traffic light opening sequence. 1515: Games -> The time spent with `~Ella Jenkins~` clearly runs longer than intended. At one point, Mr. McFeely somewhat awkwardly interrupts to remind Ms. Jenkins that they need to get going soon. In addition, after they have left, Mister Rogers concludes for the day and says, "I'll come back this weekend and clean up that board game in the kitchen." Very rarely is an episode ended with a mess left anywhere in the house because of this `~Ella Jenkins~` has the distinction of being the first guest whose visit goes over the scheduled run time. There is a brief geographical error when Mr. Rogers says he will be back this weekend to clean up the mess however the show does not air on weekends only Monday-Friday as Feburary 11th was a Friday in 1983 so Rogers should of said that he will be back on Monday. 1464: Mr. Rogers Goes to School -> Mister Rogers shares photographs of many of his neighbors including Mr. McFeely (`~19019~`), `~19025~`, `~19052~`, Chef `~19021~`, `~Elsie Neal~`, and `~19018~`. `~Elsie Neal~` never appeared in any post-1975 episodes and this is the last mention of her made in the series. 1: Change -> First appearances of Mr. McFeely (`~19019~`), King Friday XIII, Daniel Striped Tiger, Henrietta Pussycat, X the Owl, and Handyman Negri (`~19018~`).
