Synopsis:
Having escaped in the last episode, Jason is back, hockey mask and all, to continue his murderous rampage across Crystal Lake.
Reaction:
Again, this one is largely more of the same. Filming for the 3D gimmick adds something to the setup, but so much of the movie is taken up with people coming up with any excuse they can to point something at the screen to make it jump out at the audience.

Trivia:
SPOILER:There were two alternate endings to this movie that were actually shot. One had Chris doing the same thing to kill Jason, except Ali barely survives (he dies in the used ending), both of them escape, and Jason walks away—or the viewer assumes so—because when the police arrive, Jason's body isn't there. The other ending had Chris kill Jason, then go out in the canoe and fall asleep. In her dream, Jason decapitates her with a machete.:SPOILER This was the first of the @##Friday the 13th##@ films to use the hockey mask, which has been in every sequel since. `~5686~` (Rick) originally auditioned to play Andy but the filmmakers thought he would make a better Rick. This is the only movie in the entire @#3Friday the 13th##@ franchise where Jason starts off with no mask. In the original script, when Jason eventually got a mask, he wore an Umpire's mask. `~5666~`, who starred in !~fri_13_2~!~Friday the 13th Part 2~!, was offered to reprise her role for the third film, but she declined. The house, barn, and lake were all purpose-built on location. The man-made lake wasn't properly sealed, and, subsequently, the water drained into the soil during the first week of filming. The film was released on a Friday the 13th This movie actually starts the day after the events of !~fri_13_2~!~Part 2~!, making it Saturday the 14th. While the beginning of the movie takes place on the evening of Saturday the 14th, when the store owner and his wife are killed, the majority of the movie takes place on the following day, making it Sunday the 15th. Several scenes in this film are identical or are like to the scenes in the original !~fri_13_UR~!~Friday the 13th~!: Debbie sees drops of blood falling from above, she looks up, and a knife goes through her throat. This scene is much like `~1445~`'s scene in the first film. After Chris SPOILER:thinks she has killed Jason:SPOILER, she SPOILER:goes to sleep in a canoe on the lake much like Alice did in the first film:SPOILER. When Chris awakens in the canoe, SPOILER:Pamela Voorhees comes out of the water and drags her under water much like what Jason did to Alice in the first film.:SPOILER Not including the scenes from !~fri_13_2~!~Part 2~!, this is the only @##Friday the 13th##@ film in which none of the characters actually say the name Jason.
