Synopsis:
Foul-mouthed mutant mercenary Wade Wilson (AKA. Deadpool), brings together a team of fellow mutant rogues to protect a young boy with supernatural abilities from the brutal, time-traveling cyborg, Cable.
Reaction:
Great followup. Still very R-rated, but the action is well done and the humor works quite well.

Trivia:
SPOILER:The two rednecks that Cable steals the truck from in the beginning of the film are played by `~2396~` and `~5483~`. Damon, however, playing "Redneck #2," is credited as "Dickie Greenleaf." Multiple news outlets reported that Redneck #2 was actually played by `~2396~` in heavy prosthetic makeup; Dickie Greenleaf is the name of a character in The Talented Mr. Ripley whom Damon's character (Tom Ripley) murders and impersonates.:SPOILER `~14108~` was Deadpool co-creator `~15853~`'s choice for the role of Cable in this film. `~8128~`, `~Lizzy Caplan~`, `~5293~`, `~5935~`, `~16811~`, `~18140~`, `~Kelly Rohrbach~`, `~Eve Hewson~`, `~16100~`, `~15469~`, `~Sylvia Hoeks~` and `~Janelle Monáe~` were considered and screen tested for the role of Domino before it went to `~17518~`. SPOILER:`~9596~` agreed to the small part of the Vanisher on the condition that he get a coffee as his pay on the day of shooting.:SPOILER SPOILER:The music that swells over Deadpool's "death" scene near the end of this film is the same score used in !~xmen_logan~!~Logan~! for Wolverine's death scene.:SPOILER The "fake X-Force" actors also agreed to shoot fake action sequences that they could use in the trailers for scenes that aren't even in the movie. `~17517~` felt the role of Firefist was particularly special because his character is "chubby". He said in an interview: "...playing a chubby or fat superhero was so special because I would go and watch these movies with my friends and would never see anyone like me. I am excited to be that for other kids who look like me." `~8581~`, `~2690~`, `~5587~`, `~1509~`, `~2077~`, `~10405~`, `~1158~`, `~16090~`, `~1144~`, `~4832~` and `~10101~` were all considered for the role of Cable. In the movie, the orphanage is named Essex. This is a reference to long time X Men villain Mr. Sinister, also known as Nathaniel Essex. At one point, Mister Sinister ran an orphanage that he used to manipulate young mutants The model for Colossus was altered from the first film to make him more "chiseled and angular". The sound that Cable's gun makes when recharges is the same sound the T-1000 makes as it walks through the hospital cell door in !~t_2~!~Terminator 2~!. The sequel was announced three days before the release of !~deadpool~!~Deadpool~!. During Cable's assault on the mutant transport, Deadpool performs the same moves he did during his introductory sequence in !~xmen_wolverine~!~X-Men Origins: Wolverine~!, right down to the "bullet chop" opener. He has less success this time, and is nailed several times in the chest for his troubles. While fighting Juggernaut, Deadpool mockingly recites "Hey, big guy. The sun's getting real low" the mantra used to calm down the Hulk. The film takes many potshots at the `~Barbra Streisand~` film @%Yentl%@. Streisand is `~6167~`'s stepmother. SPOILER:For the !~xmen_wolverine~!~X-Men Origins: Wolverine~! scene, they went into the archives and got the original dailies so they could extend the shot of `~7762~`.:SPOILER When Cable uses his time slider to go to a point of time he already exists in, he merely brings his current memories into his body at that time, revisiting the premise of !~xmen_future_past~!~Days of Future Past~! (comic and movie). When Deadpool complains about Domino's powers, he says that it must have been the idea of an artist "who can't even draw feet". Domino and Deadpool's co-creator `~15853~` is widely mocked and criticized for avoiding drawing characters' feet. Deadpool/Wade and Cable are the only characters in the film that break the 4th wall. Cable seems to be the only one who notices when Deadpool/Wade is talking to the audience. In one scene, Deadpool (`~12780~`) refers to Cable (`~6167~`) as One-Eyed Willy, when he says, "Bring it on, One Eyed Willy." One-Eyed Willy was the pirate character in !~goonies~!~The Goonies~!, which also starred `~6167~`. When we first see Russell, one of the headlines in the news ticker below reads "`~1289~` turned down a role in !~deadpool_2~!~Deadpool 2~!" `~6167~` signed a four-film deal to play Cable, and described his appearance here as just the introduction for the character, with "three more movies to reveal more."
