Synopsis:
Aeon Flux is a mysterious assassin working for the Monicans, a group of rebels trying to overthrow the government. When she is sent on a mission to kill the Chairman, a whole new mystery is found.
Reaction:
Stylized to the point of being nonsensical at times, and artistic to the point of (ironic) blandness at others. Not horrible, but it should have been more.

Trivia:
`~13678~` had trampoline training with Cirque du Soleil's `~Terry Bartlett~`. The scene where Aeon catches a fly with her eyelash is taken directly from the title sequence of the animated @##Ĉon Flux (1991)##@ television show. The production team first chose the Brazilian capital of Brasilia as the city in which to shoot the movie. However, because of logistical problems they ended up in Berlin, Germany, where they found most of their locations, such as a recently built crematorium, and underground sewers dating from before World War II. According to director `~18824~`, after finishing the movie, the studio fired her, re-cut the movie to a 71 minute long version that tested poorly and then asked her to edit the film again, but not back to her original vision. Huge parts of the plot were left out and even one character's sexuality of being gay was cut out by the studio. In the DVD features it is revealed that the technology used in the movie was supposed to reflect a return to nature rather than the mechanical form. SPOILER:For the second season of the original @##Ĉon Flux (1991)##@ animated series, Aeon was killed at the end of each episode, only to appear alive and well at the beginning of the next. In the film, all the people in the world have died and been re-born over and over in a most subtle reference/adaptation of the original series.:SPOILER At one point, `~Darren Aronofsky~` was attached to direct this film. `~6002~` was considered for the lead role. The Breen council chamber is furnished with the "Ribbon Chair" by french modernist designer `~Pierre Paulin~`, upholstered in red. The piece is a staple of sci-fi set decoration; a day-glow orange version was often seen on ^~trek_tos_1~^~Star Trek: The Original Series~^. In an interview with The Witching Hour, director `~18824~` noted that `~1720~` was considered for the titular role. The pair would go on to work together in @%Destroyer.%@ `~10178~` was originally set to play the lead when the film was announced in 2003. When Aeon is leaping over the lethal grass and lands balanced on a corner, the overhead shot closely resembles the logo from the @##Ĉon Flux (1991)##@ series.
