Bread Pudding


10slice(s)White bread — cut into cubes
1/4c.Margarine — melted
1/2c.Raisins
1tsp.Cinnamon
6Eggs
3/4c.Sugar
2tsp.Vanilla extract
1/2tsp.Salt
3c.Hot Milk
1pinch(es)Ground Nutmeg

1.Heat oven to 375 F (190 C).
2.In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, melted margarine, raisins, and cinnamon.
3.Mix well, and transfer to a 2 quart baking dish.
4.Use the same bowl to beat the eggs.
5.Stir in sugar, vanilla, and salt until sugar is dissolved.
6.Slowly whisk in the hot milk.
7.Pour egg mixture over bread cubes.
8.Sprinkle with nutmeg, and set aside to soak for 5 minutes.
9.Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
