Pear Bran Muffins


1c.flour
1/2c.sugar
2 1/2tsp.baking powder
1/2tsp.salt
1 1/4c.whole bran cereal
1can(s)pears in juice — (16 oz.)
1/2c.milk
1/4c.oil
1egg — beaten

1.Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
2.Drain and dice pears.
3.Combine with bran and milk.
4.Let stand 5 minutes.
5.Add oil and egg to pear mixture.
6.Add dry ingredients.
7.Stir only until ingredients are moistened.
8.Fill 12 greased muffin cups 3/4 full.
9.Bake at 400 for 18 - 20 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
