Synopsis: The turtles leave April's apartment for an old subway station while, at the same time, their nemesis returns from the grave.


Reaction: A competent followup to the original that delves a bit more into the actual origins of the Turtles and their mentor.

Random Trivia For This Title:

  • Originally, the studio wanted Bebop and Rocksteady, from the 1987 cartoon, to appear. However, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird were not in favor of it, so Tokka and Rahzar were created.
  • At the beginning of the film where April enters her apartment and picks up a pile of magazines, the top one is actually a comic book of [Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles].
  • Corey Feldman, the original voice of Donatello in the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, was recast in this film due to his public problems with drugs. After he was sober, he rejoined the cast for the third film.
  • Ernie Reyes Jr. was Donatello's fight double in the first film. Producers liked Reyes so much, they created the role of Keno just for him.
  • The building used for the entrance to April's apartment is the office to the New York location of Jim Henson's Creature Shop.
  • Dedicated to the memory of Jim Henson.
