Random Trivia For This Title:

  • In the final beach scene, when the agents tell the "waiter" to bring in the poisoned coconuts, they call him by the name "Venkman", the name of Bill Murray's character from the [Ghostbusters] franchise.
  • In the hotel after the interrogation, Boris walks out of the room to call Dr. Kropotkin and says: "Uri, get the rubber sheets... and watch that man," (pointing to Bill Murray's character). Watch That Man is the title of the novel on which the movie is based.
  • The movie that Consuela is watching in the kitchen is Copycat, also directed by Jon Amiel.
  • First cinema film of Eddie Marsan.
  • This was the first feature film to be made at Elstree Studios after the local council bought it from [?] Brent Walker under a Compulsory Purchase Order.
  • When Wally uses a croquet mallet to knock a hole in the kitchen door and says "Here's Johnny!", it is a clear reference to The Shining, when Jack Nicholson's character does a similar thing using an ax. However, in Stephen King's novel The Shining, the character Jack Torrance uses a roque mallet (roque is an early 20th century American sport very similar to croquet).
