When I was a child, my mother said to me, "If you become a soldier, you will become a general. If you become a monk, then you will end up as Pope." Instead, I became a painter, and wound up as Picasso.

Random Trivia For This Title:

  • In the episode {Ladders}, on the wall of the underground bar, a picture of series creator Dan Harmon can be seen saying 'Don't serve this man'.
  • Production necessarily moved to a new studio for season 6, and the cafeteria set now had load bearing beams. The plot line of the cafeteria roof collapsing in the episode {Ladders} was created to explain the appearance of these beams.
  • After 5 seasons, Yvette Nicole Brown (Shirley) did not return in this 6th season due to a family emergency.
  • Martin Mull and Lesley Ann Warren also played husband and wife in Ri¢hie Ri¢h's Christmas Wish and starred together in the movie Clue.
  • Keith David, who joins Season 6 of Community as Elroy Patashnik, lent his voice as the narrator back in [Season 3] Episode 14 titled {Pillows and Blankets}
  • In the episode {Queer Studies & Advanced Waxing}, Frankie complains that she cannot contact the IT lady to fix the campus wi-fi and is instructed by Dean Pelton to fire the IT lady and hire Elroy instead. Paget Brewster, who plays Frankie, also played the IT lady in a [fifth season] episode. As a nod to the paradox, Frankie says her e-mails to the IT lady come back in Aramaic and when she calls her, all she gets is a strange tone that makes her nose bleed.
  • In the episode {Laws of Robotics & Party Rights}, the janitor at the end of the episode is played by [?] Abed Gheith. The character Abed Nadir is based on this real man.
  • The story is a spoof of the infamous 2014 Sony E-Mail hack, which revealed, among other things, the negotiations between Yahoo and Sony Pictures Television regarding the sixth season of "Community". Joel McHale was also a victim of the hack, as e-mails between him and a Sony executive were among those made public.
  • Buzz Hickey, a criminology professor in the fifth season played by Jonathan Banks, has passed away. This was revealed in the lunch lady's hacked emails in the episode {Basic Email Security} as Dean Pelton's email for "Buzz Hickey Memorial Services."
  • The 'Glipglop' featured in the movie the gang is shooting in {Intro to Recycled Cinema} originally appears in [Rick and Morty], the cartoon show that's also co-created by Dan Harmon.
  • In {Intro to Recycled Cinema}, when Abed is in the frisbee heap and says bazinga it is a reference to a similar scene in [The Big Bang Theory] with Sheldon hiding in a ball pit.
  • The telegram man is played by and named after Ryan Ridley, the writer of the episode {Grifting 101}.
  • Professor DeSalvo (episode {Grifting 101}), is played by Matt Berry who starred in the English TV series [the I.T. Crowd] as Douglas Reynholm. Joel McHale, who plays Jeff, starred in the pilot episode of the American version of [the I.T. Crowd], which was canceled after the pilot. While Richard Ayoade, who played Moss in both versions, directed the [Season 2] episode {Critical Film Studies}.
  • During the gala in the episode {Modern Espionage}, the gang uses code names based on the names of actors who have played Batman: Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, Adam West, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Voice of Diedrich Bader. The code they use to talk to the group at large is "Belfry", which is based on the phrase "bat in a belfry."
  • This episode features a scene parodying the elevator fight scene in the movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier. That movie was directed by the Russo Brothers, who had previously directed several episodes of [Community]. While the opening paintball duel set in the parking garage is a parody of the opening fight of the movie Highlander.
  • In the episode {Wedding Videography}, Garrett's wife, Stacy, is played by Erin McGathy, the wife of co-showrunner and creator, Dan Harmon.
  • Several times in the episode {Wedding Videography} through the episode, Abed calls out on the characters "Jimming" or "doing a Jim". This is a reference to [The Office], where Jim Halpert would glance at the camera to express his emotions. Abed does not appear on screen. This is because Danny Pudi was shooting the Strange Calls pilot while this episode was being shot. He later dubbed in his lines.
  • The '#andamovie' tag at the end of the episode ({Emotional Consequences of Broadcast Television}) hints at the #sixseasonsandamovie fan theory coming true, but Joel McHale has said that there would only be a film if Dan Harmon wrote it.
