I wish to Christ I could make up a really great lie. Sometimes, after an interview, I say to myself, 'Man, you were so honest - can't you have some fun? Can't you do some really down and dirty lying?' But the puritan in me thinks that if I tell a lie, I'll be punished.

Trivia that mentions this person:
Friday the 13th Part 2 [1981]
  • At a horror convention in Cherry Hill, New Jersey in 2003, Betsy Palmer said she never appeared in another [Friday the 13th] movie after the first one. Apparently she forgot about this one. Palmer was in Los Angeles at the time Part 2 was filming in Connecticut. She was hired for one day, filmed in front of a black screen.
    Friday the 13th Uncut [1980]
  • Betsy Palmer said that if it were not for the fact that she was in desperate need of a new car, she would never have taken the part of Pamela Voorhees. One critic was so angry at Betsy Palmer's role in the movie (which had angered many of her fans), that he published her address in his magazine, and encouraged people to write her and protest her. He published the wrong address.
  • Betsy Palmer worked on the film for ten days, for which she received $1000 per day.
    Freddy vs. Jason [2003]
  • Betsy Palmer, who played Jason's mother in previous [Friday The 13th] movies, was asked to reprise her role of Mrs. Pamela Voorhees, but turned it down because she felt the role was too small of a part for her.
